PRESS: Russian retailers have deficit of adhesive tape for labels

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- Russian retailers have deficit of adhesive tape imported from Europe and used to label bulk goods, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday citing representatives of retailers and suppliers of the tape.

One of the retailers polled by Kommersant showed the bills for tape presented by NBK Trade with the prices soaring to 251.2 rubles per package in March from 63.75 rubles in February for the 58x60 ECO tape and to 223.6 rubles from 65.16 rubles for 58x40 ECO tape.

A spokesperson for Azbuka Vkusa said that the prices grew three times, Vkuster CEO Sergei Plis said that the prices doubled.

Director of Sevit-Grup Vitaly Sinatov said that Finland's Raflatac, which earlier imported the bulk of the tape, has discontinued supplies, while Sweden's Fasson does not import enough. Partner of One Story Olga Sumishevskaya said that the logistic chains are severely hurt contributing to the deficit.
